New exceptions have been added to the Government’s ‘stay at home’ guidance to enable moving home during lockdown.
Under the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) (No. 4) Regulations 2020, activities in connection with the purchase, sale, letting or rental of a residential property have been made exceptions to the “stay at home” guidance. These activities include:
- visiting estate or letting agents, developer sales offices, or show homes
- viewing residential properties to look for a property to buy or to rent
- preparing a residential property to move in
- moving house
- visiting a residential property to undertake any activities required for the rental or sale of that property.
The second national lockdown will commence in England just after midnight on 5th November and is due to continue until at least until 2nd December.
Members of the team who are unable to work from home will be in branch during lockdown. In line with Guidance, we continue to operate on a by appointment only basis for visits to our branch and viewings. To get in touch with our team head over to the contact us page on our website.
We continue to work within the Government Guidance and Industry best practice to protect the health of our team, clients and visitors during the outbreak. Earlier in the year, we produced our own Guidance for the public which you can view on the news pages of our website.
