Staff Profiles

Carolyn Mellor

Owner and MD

With my roots in retail I bring an eye for detail and a passion in customer service to the property industry. Creating a well trained team with a single vision and desire to be the best is my measure of success.
My experience of opening the first Dorothy Perkins in Northern Ireland and then a further 9 before moving to England to be responsible for multi sites in the North West has given me the knowledge required to run a business and understand the need for strong procedures and measuring performance.
Being part of a unique book club of entrepreneurial females who meet once a month in various restaurants around Manchester provides me with a welcome laugh at life. I live in the city centre and am spoilt for choice for theatres and entertainment…….and the great thing is I can walk home afterwards!

Ann Durrell

Director of Development

I fell into the property industry by accident in 1998 when I was looking for a temporary job after finishing sixth form college. I must have found my vocation as I have been in the industry ever since, the majority of it with homes4u.

My experience with homes4u spans from home advisor level to Branch management and I have spent time in the sales and rentals departments in the City Centre, Withington and Altrincham.

In 2015 I moved into the executive team as Director of Development. My role is really varied and involves developing policies and procedures, marketing (digital and off line), event management systems and IT amongst many other things.

I hold NFOPP Technical Award Level 3 in Residential Lettings and Property Management and Residential Sales. NVQ in Residential Lettings and Property Management. More recently I have completed a professional 10 week course in Search and Social Media at Salford University as well as short courses in digital marketing and social media.

When I am not working I write theatre reviews for a website and enjoy hanging out with my friends and family. I have also recently taken up trampolining keep fit which is interesting!
