homes4u host live music event to celebrate anniversary.

In April, our flagship store on the busy corner of Deansgate and Liverpool Road in Manchester city centre turned one year old. To celebrate our anniversary, we invited Sofar Sounds along to host some live music.

As a company that has been around since 1990, we have never been afraid to try new things to set ourselves apart from the rest. We have always been industry leaders with a focus firmly on the customer’s experience.

Although don’t just take my word for it. If you are familiar with us, you will remember back in 2001 when we opened the first UK estate agency with an in-branch coffee and internet lounge. Fast forward to last year and the opening of our Deansgate branch, we evolved again.

Gone are the traditional intimidating desks you might be accustomed to from a visit to your local high street agent. These have been replaced with private booths with 22’’ touchscreens and the Scandi inspired interior design creates a more relaxing environment for customers.

This month, the open plan layout allowed us the perfect opportunity for another first. We welcomed more than forty from the local community to celebrate our anniversary in style by listening to three live music acts thanks to Sofar Sounds. If you are unfamiliar with the name, I highly recommend you check them out!

Established in 2009 in London, Sofar Sounds is a music event start-up company that in their own words, want to create, “a global movement bringing the magic back to live music.” Coming up on an anniversary of their own, the company is nearly ten years old. They host live gigs in unusual venues every week in 429 cities worldwide. I can think of two alone that I have been to in a bakery to someone’s living room! Find out how it works.

Andrew Mellor, Partner Development Manager at homes4u said, “With so much competition and choice these days for consumers in business and especially the property industry, I truly believe that being brave and trying new things is the only way forward for brands. By standing out from the crowd, that is the only real way to break through all of the noise and engage with the community.”

Andrew continued, “The night was a great success and all three artists were fantastic. From my perspective, it provided us with a unique opportunity to make sure our audience went away with a bit more of an impression of how we like to do things at homes4u. Would I host a music night again? Absolutely! We might even book our own acts next time!”
