Letting Agent of the Year Best Social Media Gold Award

We are thrilled to announce that last Friday we were awarded Best Social Media Gold Award at The Lettings Agency of the Year Awards 2016 in association with The Sunday Times and The Times and sponsored by Zoopla Property Group.

It was an early start for the homes4u team, catching the train to London to attend The Property Academy’s Lettings Live seminar 2016 at the Lancaster London Hotel. At the seminar we heard from speakers such as Marcus Child a motivational speaker who we have worked with preciously, Sam Mitchell, Head of Lettings at Rightmove and Roger Martin-Fagg who gave a particularly interesting presentation on the effect leaving, or staying in the EU, could have on the property industry.

The final seminar of the day was by Sir Clive Woodward, who led the England Rugby team to success before being taking up a role with the British Olympic Association during the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.

After the seminars it was time to take our seats for lunch, and the all important awards, hosted by journalist, author and newsreader Penny Smith. Hundreds of agents attended from all over the country, all hoping to scoop an award. The Letting Agents of the Year Awards are now in their seventh year and are held in association with the Sunday Times and Zoopla Property Group. This year there were more entrants than ever, with thousands of lettings and property management offices being represented.

When our category came around, we sat with baited breath. Although there are usually only one winner per award, two agents, both from the south, were given the Silver for Best Social Media. Cue much nail biting, waiting to see if we had managed to bring home the gold before Penny Smith announced we had done it, we had scooped the top accolade. Up we went to the stage to collect our award and pose for our winners photo alongside Sir Clive Woodward.

We recognised early on that Social Media is an important method to gain extra exposure for properties on the market and to deliver property news and industry updates. All our social media is handled in house by a team with a property background. Winning such a prestigious award for our efforts is amazing and we are all thrilled.
