What to do for Halloween in Manchester
Get your Halloween costumes ready as that spooky time of year we call Halloween is almost here! Manchester is going all out this year; from re-enactments of classic horror films to a Halloween ball we have put together a list of Manchester's best Halloween events.
Halloween in the City
The city-wide spookfest Halloween in the City event is coming back this year and we couldn’t be more excited. The streets will be filled with spooky decorations, thousands of pumpkin lanterns and Manchester’s iconic buildings will light up green.
World Record Attempt at Halloween in the City 2018
A spooktacular event is taking place in Exchange Square to raise money for Big Change and help homelessness in Manchester. Heart of Manchester BID are encouraging families to head down with a single item, a simple bedsheet in an attempt to break the world record for the most ghosts in one place.
Entertainment on the night will be provided by Heart FM DJs and if you arrive early you will have a chance to win some fantastic giveaways and grab some freebies. After there will be a free family friendly dance party!
Festival of the Dead
The Festival of the Dead returns to Greater Manchester with a host of brand new characters. There is plenty on show from acrobats and dancers to decorative art and costumes.

Lil’ Monsters Ball
Manchester's Hard Rock Café is holding an alternative event to keep your lil’ monsters entertained this Halloween.
Children and adults are invited to a rockin' Halloween afternoon including face painting, handcrafts, Halloween giveaways and ghoulish games.
The ball takes place from 9am to 11am on Sunday, October 28 and costs £9.95 for children and £14.95 for adults.

The Village Screen
This Halloween (25th, 26th & 27th Oct) The Village Screen is back at the historic Victoria Baths with a series of scary films, delightful street food and classic Halloween music.
The event will show three films over three days with screenings of Jaws, The Lost Boys and The Witches.
If you want to catch your favourite film on the big screen then this event is just for you!
